Privacy Policy

Information we collect

NextStop stores your preferences — such as your saved name, favorites, appearance, and accessibility settings — locally on your device. When you enable location, the App uses your current location only to find nearby stops and is not stored on a server. There is no account and no sign-in.

How we use it

Your on-device data is used to personalize the Home screen greeting, show nearby transit, and remember your favorites and settings. Location is used solely to request nearby arrivals and walking distances while the App is open.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account, do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not sell or share your data with advertisers. No analytics or advertising identifiers are transmitted to us.

Third-party data sources

Arrival and map data is fetched live from Transitous (MOTIS), OpenStreetMap, and CARTO. When the App contacts these services, your approximate location or search query may be sent to retrieve relevant results. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing that exchange.

Data retention

Because your data lives on your device, it persists only as long as the App is installed. Deleting the App removes all stored preferences and favorites. We retain no user data on our servers.

Your choices

You can turn off location access at any time from the Settings screen or your device's system settings. You may clear favorites or reset preferences by removing the App.

Children's privacy

NextStop is a general-purpose transit tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date above indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance.
